Quantum Break now Xbox One and PC dual release

Microsoft announced that Quantum Break, previously an XB1 exclusive, would be coming to Windows 10 systems as well. And just as importantly, that they will be working to make games that are on both platforms “Cross-buy”able, meaning that if you buy it on one, you’ll be able to play it on both.

The news comes as a bit of a surprise, as we are only five weeks away from the game’s April 5th release date. The news has some XB1 fans upset, as they felt it devalues the XB1 platform to have previously “Exclusive” games move to another platform, but I think it’s pretty smart as there is a ton of people who might turn into XB1 fans, because there’s an untapped market in PC gaming.

More importantly, the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer tweeted on whether this would be just for first party games or maybe even third party games, that “We’ll make it a platform feature. We think it’s good for gamers.”
