Warhammer Universe(s) enter saturation point in 2016

I can’t believe I’m writing this. I think the Warhammer Universe is pretty much tapped out for new stuff. But considering everything that’s on the table, I don’t see where we can go from here (oh wait, to SEQUELS, and BEYOND!)

Let’s see, in late 2015 and now 2016, you’re able to play, or will be able to play the following games set in Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40K (

Warhammer Fantasy:

Released

Mordenheim (small gangs)

Blood Bowl II (Sports in the Warhammer Fantasy universe),

Vermintide (Left 4 Dead meets the Warhammer Universe)

In Development or Early Access

Total War: Warhammer (Empire-Nation level play, Large Units),

Man O’ War (fantasy ship battles),

Warhammer 40K:

Released

Regicide (A chess or Archon type game, featuring WH40K units)

In Development or Early Access

Eternal Crusade (Shooty/MMO-ish game),

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada (ship level combat),

Deathwing (A remake of Space Hulk, small squad level FPS)

Eisenhorn: Xenos (Featuring an inquisitor, I guess it could be called a Warhammer 40K styled Deus Ex type game where you mix stealth, technology/daemonology and shooting)

Warhammer 40K Dark Nexus Arena: A Twin-Stick Shooter MOBA. Which is about as much jargon as it is informational.

Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr (Not much known, but it seems to kinda step on the same thing as the Eisenhorn: Xenos game above

That’s ELEVEN games either out, or scheduled to be out in 2016. ELEVEN FREAKING GAMES. And that’s not including the rumored Dawn of War III, or anything from Necromunda or Gorkamorka, which have had rumors of remakes.

I guess this will be the year that makes Warhammer, or breaks it.
